FAQs

  • Just an ID works for identification and address, but please also have information about the names and dates of birth of the other people in your household.

  • Although it’s not required, it is recommended that you bring some of your own bags as there are some items available that are not already bagged for you.

  • We recently began a program in collaboration with Salvation Army that allows us to have bags of food delivered to those with disabilities. If you desire this service, please contact the Salvation Army in Freeport IL for more information and instructions on how to receive this service if you think you may qualify.

  • You can only come to pantry once per month based on the day of the month that you came. For example, if you came January 25th, you could only get another pantry on February 25th or a pantry day adjacent to that date.

  • Our pantry has prefilled bags of assorted canned and boxed goods. The bags are quite heavy, so it is recommended that you have some form of transportation available to you after you retrieve your pantry. We often have pastries and breads and sometimes cold desserts. We also offer one small bag of personal/hygiene items per visit. We do NOT provide laundry detergent nor dish soap, even if it’s present.
